The BlueRobotics 240mm Watertight Acrylic Enclosure Tube (3-Inch) is constructed from either cast acrylic plastic and is equipped with precision-machined O-ring interfaces at each end, which guarantee a consistent and reliable fit with the sealing flange. The smooth surface finish of the tubes ensures optimal sealing between the O-ring flange and the tube.
Additionally, each end of the tube is machined with a gland for a locking cord and a slot for cord insertion. This slot also serves as an anti-rotation feature, aligning with a feature on the flange to maintain a consistent orientation between the flange and the tube. This prevents any potential damage to the contents of the enclosure due to inadvertent rotation of the flange.
