- Motoron M2S24v16 Dual High-Power Motor Controller Shield for Arduino (w/ Connectors)
- Enables control of two high-power DC motors via an I²C interface
- Compatible with motor supply voltages from 6.5V to 40V
The Motoron M2S24v16 Dual High-Power Motor Controller Shield for Arduino (w/ Connectors) is a meticulously designed device that enables the control of two high-power DC motors from an Arduino or Arduino-compatible board via an I²C interface. It is compatible with motor supply voltages ranging from 6.5 V to 40 V and is capable of delivering continuous output currents of up to 16 A per motor. This particular model is equipped with soldered stackable headers and terminal blocks.
The Motoron M2S series of dual high-power motor controller shields are designed to facilitate the independent control of two bidirectional, brushed DC motors with an Arduino or a compatible board. What sets the Motoron apart from most motor drivers and motor driver shields is that it does not necessitate any PWM outputs or timers on your Arduino. Instead, the Arduino communicates with the Motoron via I²C, requiring only two I/O lines.
The M2S24v16 shield is compatible with motor supply voltages from 6.5 V to 40 V and can deliver continuous output currents of up to 16 A per motor. This shield can be identified from other M2S shields by its larger discrete MOSFETs and the number 100 on top of the tall silver electrolytic capacitors.
